If you told me a few years ago that I’d be selling digital art and products online and building a growing digital business from scratch, I would’ve laughed. But here we are. I turned my passion for art, tech, and self-expression into something that’s slowly giving me back my time, energy, and peace of mind.
Finding My Zone in Digital Design
I’ve always loved crafts, design, and anything artsy. Once I discovered AI tools like Leonardo, Canva, and Artistly AI, I realized I could turn those loves into actual digital products — clipart bundles, tumbler wraps, t-shirt PNGs, invites, and more. That discovery flipped a switch. I didn’t need to be a full-blown techie or traditional artist to build something powerful.
How I Turned My Designs Into Income
At first, I started making tumbler wraps, mug wraps, and other crafty products from home. Then I discovered digital — and everything changed.
I began selling on Etsy and learned the ropes — how to format files, write descriptions, create mockups. Then I launched my own website with WooCommerce for more control and flexibility. Now, both stores run with systems in place. My designs are digital, so once they’re listed, they sell passively.
I batch my content. I automate with Make.com. I use Google Drive to stay on track. It’s not 100% hands-off (yet), but it’s getting close.
Tools That Keep Me Sane
- Canva Pro – For mockups, thank-you cards, Pinterest pins
- Leonardo AI – For generating clipart, bundles, and unique graphics
- Artistly AI – For high-quality, creative image generation
- Sales Samurai – To spy on what’s trending and make smart product decisions
- Photopea – For DPI correction and final polish
- Make.com – To automate parts of my Etsy and website listings
- ChatGPT – That’s my assistant Ash. He helps me with prompts and workflow strategy.
What I’ve Learned (So Far)
- You can’t do it all at once — chunk it down
- Don’t wait until things are perfect — just get them out there
- Organize your files from day one — trust me
- It’s okay to mess up. Learn, pivot, keep going
Want to Start Your Own Biz?
Here’s what I’d tell anyone:
- Start with ONE product type and learn it well (mine was clipart)
- Use AI to speed things up, not to replace your creativity
- Research what’s trending, but add your own spin
- Don’t sleep on Etsy or your own site — do both
This Is Just the Beginning
I’m nowhere near where I want to be — yet. But I’ve come a long way from where I started. Every bundle, every listing, every blog post is a step closer to full-time freedom.
If you’re thinking about starting your own digital product hustle, let this be your sign.
Want to see what I’m working on next? Stick around. I’ve got some wild bundles, glam wraps, and bold ideas coming to Artistry Designz.
